  • The FDA seeking public comment to evaluate real-world AI device performance.

  • OpenAI introducing parental alerts, with human oversight, for child self-harm risks.

    From pharma paying major rent for AI capacity, to the FDA asking how people are using the 1,000+ FDA-cleared health devices on the market, to the largest AI company acknowledging responsibility for its impact on mental health...

    All are signs that we're moving from "AI will change everything in healthcare" to "Show us how."

    A hopeful sign that the next chapter of healthcare AI will be more reality, less hype. More measurable commitments, infrastructure, and accountability, less “transformative potential” and lofty promises.
